Time sensitive data is always difficult to deal with, especially if you are running a blog or site that is based around information or products that are only searched for once a year. Holiday blogs and sites are some of the first things that come to mind for time sensitive information. Ranking number one for the search term Christmas decorations doesn’t do much good in August if you fall to page two in October, November, and early December. Ticket vendors also know the trials and tribulations all too well when they have a limited number of time to sell tickets, and they’re competing with a large crowd on the SERPs.

When to Switch Focus

A client of Page One Power is based out of New York and sells tickets to all kinds of events, but he wanted his landing pages for the Super Bowl and The US Open (tennis), and to rank highly. Rather than split up our man power and offer weaker results for both, we focused on building relevant, keyword heavy links for The US Open (which happens in late summer) after the Super Bowl finished. Once the US Open got under way we shifted our focus to getting links on NFL related sites pointing back to the Super Bowl landing page. Granted, this works well for us because the two events happen far apart from one another and we have enough time to get their rankings up. Not everyone has such luxury.

Don’t Wait Too Long

Yes, they might be lyrics found in almost every teenage angst song from the late 90s, but seriously, don’t wait too long before ranking up the link building and SEO efforts. Some people think that waiting until a few weeks are left before the event (when sales and searches are typically highest) is the best time to strike because you can jump pages with a few quality links. However, this strategy only works somewhat predictably with long tail keywords and uncompetitive niches. In a competitive niche, the keywords are much harder to rank for and if you aren’t already near the top, your last minute SEO efforts could easily be overshadowed by sites with a stronger SEO campaign. Google’s crawlers don’t scan over your site every day either, so it can take longer than you think for some of those great backlinks to start bumping you up the SERPs.

Keep Conditioning During the Off-Season

Just because there are no NFL games from February to September doesn’t mean the players sit on the couch all day and relax. Athletes keep their bodies primed and in top condition in order to keep their edge and your site should follow the same example. Don’t shut down a Valentine’s Day url just because it is March 1st. Keep the site up and active with ways for people to request notifications, place orders, or to post a little blurb every so often. Once that special time of year gets closer, turn up the heat and bring the simmer to a boil. This helps you to keep a high ranking if you’ve earned one, or gives you the option to do some light link building throughout the year to gain an advantage.

SEO for time sensitive pages can be tricky. You don’t want to waste your efforts on ranking for keywords that no one will be searching for anyway; that’d be like trying to sell wine to a vineyard. But care needs to be taken in order to ensure that you can and will rank highly when you want to.

download section
After a long time working and test, Download Page is now live in SimplexDesign blog. You can access through the link in top navigation bar or through this address :

http://templates.thesimplexdesign.com/

This page will keep you up to date to all changes made with SimplexDesign templates , all new templates or bug fixed. All files here automatically sync with files in my computer, and refresh every minute. So updating template is not a nightmare anymore.

Another thing should be notice here : if you see only one files or more when visiting this page, maybe it's in updating time. Refreshing again and you will see them in full.

At this time, there are some templates uploaded to this Download page. It will take time for all Simplex templates because I have to test them all again.
For templates uploaded, I integrated all scripts into templates files, so you don't need to worry about finding hosting provider for script or website downs because of 110mb.com.
In the future, I will make two editions for each templates . One comes with all script and image files so you can host yourself , and one comes with all scripts integrated in template file. This was my idea before but it will take time to become reality.

That's all for this post. Hope new Download section will shorten our times when working.

Guest Post by Patty Whelan of Merchant Express.
Lauren Freeman, President of the e-tailing group (a niche e-commerce consultancy), published a white paper to share the findings of consumer rationale for using chat. Studies were undertaken to determine the “who, what, where and why” behind consumers’ choosing to use an online chat feature. Online retailers have much to be gained by implementing the best of the live chat experience into their business.
It can be concluded that the six core reasons online shoppers choose to use live chat are multi-faceted:

1.    Shoppers feel special and empowered when they use live chat

Strong expressed strong feelings of appreciation for chat’s availability to solve a problem when sought on their own terms. Knowing their problems and/or questions matter and that help is conveniently available is significant for many of the shoppers interviewed.

2.    Shoppers can multi-task when chatting

Busy online shoppers embrace technology that saves them time; freeing them up to accomplish other things. Live chat uniquely puts shoppers in a position to problem solve while still focusing on other tasks at hand. Not having to stray from their computers or pick up the phone (especially in a work environment) were significant reasons chat was favored.

3.    Chat provides instant gratification – getting questions answered in a timely fashion

For access any time of the day or night, live chat is hard to beat. These shoppers seek immediate answers to any and all questions and “get it done in 5 minutes versus having to call or go to a store.” Ultimately, the less time spent dealing with specific issues means more time for shoppers to do something else of their choosing.

4.    Chat works in multiple scenarios from simple service questions to complex product queries

Pre-order benefits are varying as the information gathered beforehand not only answers a question but saves having to return products. Alternatively, post-order lends itself to a different set of questions that can be just as valuable for saving time. Queries might seek general information but also benefit shoppers addressing processing challenges, returns and even post-purchase support.
Speed, efficiency and an ability to utilize live chat for almost every issue imaginable cannot be under-estimated. From basic service concerns to questions on the most complex of products including high ticket merchandise, all seem to be fair game for consumers.

5.    Chat allows consumers to avoid inconvenient or annoying alternative methods

The individuals that were interviewed outlined a multitude of reasons why chat is their preferred form of communication with the retailers they shop. Instantaneous responses in real-time are much preferable to the wait time of alternative email or phone options.

6.    Chat is like “good old-fashioned” customer service

Several respondents suggested that, “chat is like having a salesperson right there when you need them — and not (right there) when you don’t.” These chat interactions reinforce that retailers actually have people in place who understand the product and have valuable information to impart. This harkens back to times prior to this technological age when such knowledge was the rule of retail.
These key insights gained from consumers that appreciate a positive live chat experience should be taken into consideration for every retailer’s growth strategy.
•    Your live chat feature should be easy to find and easy to use.
•    Be sure that your customers are treated with intelligence.
•    Be helpful and don’t make the mistake of using chat technology as playing the role of a pushy salesperson.
Incorporate the best of traditional customer service interactions into your live chat feature to create a positive customer experience, enhance your company’s reputation and foster customer loyalty.

Do you what is ailing the SEO industry at this moment? No, no it is the Penguin or Panda updates. They are doing a great job by demolishing those common SEO myths that visibility can be achieved by doing some absurd tasks like directory submissions, article syndications etc. No, what is plaguing the SEO industry is the reputation. Its reputation is getting tanked everyday because of some people who are masquerading as SEO professionals and fleecing customers in the name of offering SEO services. These snake oil sellers are giving the entire SEO industry a bad name and creating loads of confusion among those who are in genuine need of online marketing services. So, it is becoming all the more difficult for small business owners who are looking for a genuine SEO company to get more leads from their website. Though there is no such hard and fast rule to tell which SEO company is genuine and which one is another Sneak Oil Seller, SEO sneak oil sellers have some characteristics that set them apart from the genuine service providers. Wondering what they could be, here they go:

You get a mail from an SEO Company

Great SEO companies never send you email or spam your inbox out of blue. They know how to market their products and for that reasons they know they will never resort to such menial things. So, whenever you get an email that says that your website is not listed in major search engines or your website is missing out on a large number of visitors, you should be apprehensive about the company and its intension. In majority of cases, you do not even have to submit your website to search engines; they are quite capable of locating your website.

They Guarantee You First page rank

Some SEO Sneak Oil sellers go extreme and they claim that they have personals associated with Google. Though it may sound ludicrous to you but some people do fall in prey. So be aware of these nonsensical claims. Sometimes, they claim that they can make your website top in the SERP in some competitive keywords. This is simply misleading. No SEO Company can claim that it can make your website appear in top in some premium keywords. Just stay away from them.

They are not willing to tell you what They are doing

If the SEO Company that you have hired is genuine, they will not mind sharing you all the details they are doing. But SEO Companies that employ unethical practices like creating doorway pages only for the sake of boosting the rank of the main money making website or stuffing keywords in the web pages, creating pages only for the sake of building links etc. You need to press them to show you what exactly they are doing.

They want to Insert a Link of their website

You need to avoid those SEO companies who try to convince that submitting your website in thousands of directories and article directories will eventually help your website securing higher ranking. Participating in link scheme is the last thing that you should do. Google has already waged a war against the blog networks and link scheme and therefore, there is no such reason why you should be making your website vulnerable to algo updates. And never agree to their proposal to add a link back to the SEO company from the footer section of your website.

Check where your money is going

Some SEO Companies are into the habit of misguiding people by combining PPC and organic web strategy. They try to misguide people by showing that they actually control the search engine by making their website at the top of some less competitive keywords in Google Adwords or any other marketing platform. So don’t fall prey to this kind of claims. You need to figure out where your money is actually going. Temporary top spot is not going to save you in one way or the other.

Panda and Penguin are close friends. They are tools of Google that designed to re-organizing Google ranking system, reduce the rank of low-quality website. Last two days, we have a post on how Google Penguin penalize a website for overdoing in SEO. This guest post will give you some tips to sucessful in new era of Google.

The last two years have seen some major changes in the world of internet marketing. Google's Penguin and Panda updates have altered the SEO landscape considerably. Here are a few tips to help you succeed at post-Panda online marketing.

Prior to the Penguin and Panda updates, it was possible to rank a website using spun content, directory submissions and automated link-building techniques. Those days are long gone and now you need to have high-quality content and a natural link profile if you want your site to do well in the SERPs.

Marketing Through Quality Content

Content marketing is not a new concept, but it is enjoying a surge in popularity at the moment. Before Penguin and Panda, many webmasters avoided content marketing because it seemed like a lot of work and they knew that they could see good results just by hiring an SEO company to do some automated directory submissions and submit a few spun articles to the popular article farms for them. It didn't make sense to pay more for good content and high-quality links if you could get the same results by focusing on quantity instead.

Now that Google has improved its ranking algorithm, those low-quality links are useless and every good SEO Company knows this. If you want your site to rank well today, you need to build a site full of useful and interesting content. Google appreciates unique content that is relevant to the topic of your website and will love your website even more if it is frequently updated. Not only will unique, fresh and interesting content get bonus points from Google, it will also be appreciated by your users. More important, good content will be linked to via social media sites and readers' blogs.

Organic Traffic and Links

Before Google changed its algorithm, link-building strategies focused on acquiring links for the purpose of increasing the target site's Page Rank and improving the site's ranking for specific keywords. Google now picks up on sites that have unnatural-looking link profiles with a lot of links that have similar anchor texts.

Instead of focusing on links for the purpose of page rank, it is better to focus on creating content that people want to link to because they think it is worth sharing. The traffic that your website receives from such links will land on specific pages rather than the home page. In addition, some of those links will be from sites with a loyal readership. Those readers will click on your link and hopefully enjoy the content on your site and choose to come back regularly.

There are no short cuts when it comes to successful internet marketing. Yes, it is possible to buy traffic and see impressive numbers in your statistics, but that traffic will probably consist of bots, or visitors who are not actually interested in your site. If you want to get quality traffic and have people read your posts and buy the products you are selling, you need to work hard. Today, quality content and regular site updates are the secret to success.

Seven months ago Google rolled out Penguin update to fight against SEO spammers. A  roactive step from google to clean search engine ranking results from aggressive search engine optimizers trying hard to improve rankings in Google through building the low quality links.

The aftermath of Penguin was a total disaster for small business owners who relied heavily on Google. Recently, a month ago, two small business owners who shut the office down forever. Even after I promised in helping to recover from penguin, these SMEs forced to close business as the nature of business was not allowing run the trade with lack of time limit.

The sole intention behind this post is to educate business owners on the main causes of penguin hit to the websites. The below points answers what tactics and techniques lead to penguin penalty.

Keyword Resemblance in Anchor Text, Title Tag and Web Page:

There is a classical misconception about Penguin update: getting low quality links of same anchor text. Google goes one step further by analyzing the keywords between anchor text and title tag. The co-occurrences of same keyword in web page and anchor text. It’s quite simple for the Google spider to analyze the above. For Example: If you are targeting the keyword Real estate agent in California and the same keyword is mentioned in title tag and repeated many times in web page as well as got many anchor text of the same phrase through low quality sites. Then it’s easy for Google spider to find the pattern of spam.

Not just repeated phrases or keyword stuffing in the web page alone leads to penalty. Keyword stuffing in the web page indicates Google that website has shallow content. But aggressive search engine optimization is more than that. Here search engine optimizers are playing hard with the rules set by Google and not for visitors.

Google won’t penalize the website by analyzing one side of the story. If a webmaster made an offence in all the three aspects: repeated phrases in title tag, web page and anchor text means web master is not ignorant of search engine optimization. Webmaster is well aware of SEO and deliberately optimizing for the sake of ranking. Hence the combination of all the above techniques leads to Penguin penalty.

Usage of Same Content in link building:

This may include one of the panda characteristics but not a panda update. Google won’t manually penalize penguin update for millions of web pages. Google spider must follow a process to identify the certain patterns of fraudulent techniques incorporated by seo. One of the common factors is using same content in multiple websites. And classical example is submitting the title tags and meta description of web page in various directories. This is an easy way for Google to automate for finding the low quality links.

Even seo professionals have used different content other than existing content in web page but same description in many directories is definitely a link building form for the sake of rankings.

One more common spam technique is article marketing. 500 words or same article submitting in many article directories. Here it is easy for Google to find out the same content and same resource box with same anchor texts. It is fine same anchor texts with same bio but articles must be different. With different articles in other websites webmaster is contributing to visitors and in return he is getting links which won’t come under the radar of Penguin penalty.

Google is always smart. But Google also has weakness. It cannot rank manually every websites or cannot penalize every websites. Google need to automate. Once web spam of Google team identifies the common abuse followed by SEO industry it will come up update. Follow the best practices of link building and on page optimization and learn process of the new updates.

One of the keys to growing your presence online, is establishing yourself as an expert in your industry. This can be done in a number of different ways, but all of these ways require networking of some sort. You become an expert, by getting other experts to acknowledge that you are in the same class as them. You can establish yourself as an expert in your own industry by creating high quality and insightful content, answering questions about your industry around the web, and also releasing your own webinars and seminars on a variety of subjects that are related to your overall niche. In doing these things, you prove that you have the knowledge within your industry to become an expert, and are able to establish credibility through the sharing of other information.

High Quality, Insightful Content

The first thing that you need to do to establish yourself as an expert within your industry is to publish high-quality, insightful content on the subject. This content, should not be published on any of the other websites, and should be completely original in nature. Try to analyze the subject as in-depth as possible, and an effort to display the level of knowledge that you have on your industry. The higher-quality the content, the more believable it will be that you are an expert within your industry. Also make sure that you are participating on other websites that are publishing insightful content as well. By linking to insightful content, you not only prove that you can identify worthwhile content to your visitors when you find it, but it allows you to make connections with others that are considered experts.

Answer Questions Where Available

It should also be your goal to answer questions where available. There are number of questions and answers websites online, such as Yahoo Answers, or other industry-specific question and answer websites, in which you can create an account, and answer questions that individuals have about your industry. In doing so, you will build credibility with a range of different people, and have proof that you have been able to help dozens of people with questions about what you do. You can also answer questions over social networks, which can be an excellent way to gain traction with others, as they can see exactly what you have answered.

Webinars and Seminars

nother excellent way to establish yourself as an expert, is to hold either seminars, or online seminars, known as webinars. This allows you to put your knowledge on full display, and also help others to learn information about your industry. Try to plan ahead, and an effort to create as good of a webinar as humanly possible. Make sure that you are answering any common questions are misconceptions that people have about your industry in a straightforward and professional way, and also look for opportunities in which you can promote your website or service through these webinars.

Establishing yourself as an expert in your industry can be very difficult, but with the little bit of hard work and determination, you can prove that you have the knowledge to be considered one, by providing high quality information and helping others to gain knowledge as well.

One of the most important elements of a good website is ‘spectacular design’. Earlier, websites were static and design elements played almost no major role in them. But with the emergence of Web 2.0 and the new web tools and technologies, websites have become more dynamic with design playing a vital role. Today, you can use your website(s) to interact with your users, engage them and prompt them to take a call to action easily. However, there are many fine points to consider while designing a dynamic website that is in sync with the changes in WorldWideWeb. Let’s go through four such web design trends of 2012, which will help you pep up your website and make it an instant hit with the end-users.

Responsive Interface

It is no secret that most of the users nowadays access the Internet from a number of mobile devices due to speedier connectivity and unlimited data plans. Since most of these mobiles are touchscreen devices, clicking on various elements on a web page has become redundant. Today, web designers provide users with websites that sport responsive interfaces.

You can use dropdown menus, large buttons, search boxes, breadcrumbs and other such elements and make your website more responsive for your end-users, so that they can easily browse, navigate and use your website irrespective of their devices.

Infographics

Infographics are the latest sensation. They are commonly found in various social media sites and for good reason; they provide important information and put them together in a way that is easy to read and comprehend at one go.

You can use infographics on your websites to present interesting facts, statistics or anything and everything under the sun (as long as they make sense). More importantly, infographics can be shared on social media sites (and accessed on various mobile platforms as well), which will help increase your website’s visibility online.

Parallax Scrolling

Parallax Scrolling combines static images and scrollable text. This new method enables users to scroll website elements in different and more interesting ways and is particularly useful, when you want to show more information on a single web page and yet, maintain a clean, uncluttered and user-friendly layout. To get a clear idea about Parallax Scrolling, you can search for some of the best sites that have used this method on their web pages.

Minimalism

Small is the new big and less is the new more. Today desktops with 10 inch screens or laptops with 14 inch screens are making way for 7 inch tablets and 4 inch smartphones. This calls for minimalistic web design, where only relevant information is displayed on each web page and any sort of clutter is totally done away with.
These sites have a clear design; display only the important links; contain simple backgrounds and big fonts; use a color palette with 2-3 colors at the most; are easy to navigate etc. In a nutshell, minimalistic websites provide information to the site visitors clearly without distracting them with unwanted design elements and wasting their time.

To Conclude

These were some of the latest web design trends on 2012. Use them on your website to make it more attractive, engaging and last but not the least, interesting for your target audience. This in turn will help you increase your conversion ratios and also increase the footfalls on your site.

So, your website has been tanked by the vicious penguin and even after giving your hundred percent to get rid of the spammy links that are making your website bleed, a vast majority of them remain there intact and making your feel totally helpless. But fear not dude, the disavow link is here and hopefully it is going to exonerate you from the sins of your past spammy marketing initiatives that might have probably cost you thousands of SEO dollars. Yeah, yeah it is not that easy otherwise we could have had innumerable number of success stories to share by now. As there is no such great news to relish, we can safely assume that not many people have got benefited from it but that does not necessarily mean that it is not that effective. Nope, probably you do not exactly know how and when to use it [no offense plz]. So, here it goes –

A Little bit of background story

There has been a bit of confusion surrounding the concept of Disavow Link. The building block of web is links; no amount of spam can undo this. So just because a search engine named Google has launched something called – Disavow Link, it does not mean that you should be giving less attention to acquiring links naturally and put all your efforts to monitor and police each and every link that comes along the way and get them down just to be in the good book of Google.

Actually, the concept of online marketing has been hijacked by some shrewd marketers who have been engaged in doing sneaky things to get to the top in some competitive keywords in no time. They were using bulk article submissions, article network sites, massive directory submission and other sneaky stuffs. So, Google has to intervene and now we have got penguin update. But as negative SEO is on the rise and as Google is working on the biggest ever penguin algo update [as news is doing the round], it launches Disavow Link option so that it can avoid the scathing criticism of the webmasters whose websites might be wrongly affected by the upcoming algo shuffle.
Who should be using this tool: As Google is reiterating the fact that this is an advance tool and average webmasters need not have to use this because if used wrongly, it could back fire. So, here are the few hypothetical situations when you should be thinking about giving the Disavow Link a try:

1. Your website has been manually penalized

It sucks when you receive a message in Google webmaster tool about violating Google’s policy or about Link Scheme. But do not jump at the gun at the sight of this message. This message only means that your website is manually checked by human quality raters at Google and they have raised their flag after checking the backlink profile of your website.

However, this does not mean that you need to remove all the links and turn the clock around. Nope, do not make such foolish thing because you will just be shooting yourself in the feet. You need to create a list as mentioned below:

URL
PR
Anchor text
Moz rank
Type
Content Quality
Example.com
2
Exact matched
20
blog
Poor quality
Socialbookmark.com
1
Long tail
30
Social bookmark
NA

Create an excel file just like above. Add column like – PR, anchor text, Type of website, quality of the content, number of outbound links, Moz etc. You are free to add more columns. When you are done with this you need to figure out which links are affecting your website and which links are adding value to your website. Try to remove as many bad links pointing to your website as possible before, you send a reconsideration request. When you are done with this, the time is up for the Disavow links option.

Select the website you want to apply this Disavow link option.

Click on the red button and it will then ask you to upload a txt file containing list of sites that you wish to disavow.

The format of the text is plain and simple. All you got to do is to create a txt file and it may look like the following -

#This is spammy website, I do want to disaow links coming from this site:
domain:littlespammywebsite.com

#This article directory sucks, I asked them to remove the links, but they did not
Text starting with # will be comment and Google will not be taken into consideration. If you wish to discard all the links coming from a single website, you can use the following parameter – domain:websitename.com .

Just make sure that you are keeping the file short. It should not be more than 2MB.

Just want to reterate that if your website is affected by manual penalty, you need to do both, try Disavow Link option and wait few weeks before sending another reconsideration request.

2. Your website is affected by penguin algorithm

If you saw that the traffic of your website took a plunge after a penguin refresh, you need to clean up the mess as much as possible. Do a background check of the links as I have mentioned above before using the Disavow link option. Since your website has got caught by algorithm update, you need to wait for weeks or probably for months until another penguin refresh goes live.

3. You are a victim of Negative SEO

Sometimes, it might happen that your competitors are doing all they could to hamper the growth of your business. They may be doing sneaky things for your website like – spammy directory submissions, article submissions etc without your being aware of it. In that case, rather than wasting your time and money on trying to get rid of those links, you should be using this tool to make Google aware of the fact that you are not responsible for the crap links built by your competitors.
I am happy to share this information. Let me know how fare with these tips.

In SimplexDesign blog, I always welcome bloggers who want to contribute content and giving value to readers . Guest blogger can place two links in the bio as an exchange to his contribution . When site grows , I receive more and more guest posting proposal everyday. But it doesn't mean all guest posts I received are good enough to publish. In this post, I will show you what need to do to make me publish your guest post :

1, Quality of content

It's the first thing that I concern when receive a guest post . As mentioned above, I only receive posts that give value to readers. It means readers must feel that they see something new after reading post. Content must be original and unique, and people can apply to their blog.
Many guest blogger sent me posts so simple that we can find out in internet thousand posts with the same content just by a click. For example a post name 'SEO techniques' is about using H1 tag, title, meta tag ... Or another post name 'Social marketing technique' focus on how to register Twitter /Facebook and create a fanpage only.
Don't misunderstood my words, content in the posts above are not wrong, but I think none of you visit SimplexDesign for a thing like this.

2, Pay attention to the guest posting rules

In my blog ,there's a page name 'write for us' in the top navigation bar . This page show guest posting rules, niche topics, link, bio and email address that you can send post to. For saving times, please don't send me posts on other niches, for example: education, real estate ...They can be published in somewhere else, but not my blog.
Take your time in reading guest posting rules, I think it will easier for you and me. As a blog owner, I feel ok with guest posting proposals that already know what niche topics to write. And I think other blog owners who accept guest posting are the same to me.

3, Take care of the biography

All I want for a good biography at the end of guest post is basic information on guest blogger, and links to his/her profile or website.
Don't use this for advertisements, don't use this to write something that not about you. It will increase the opportunity your post appear in my blog.

4, Considering link building strategy before submitting guest post

I know many blogger who want to increase ranks, so he/she hire ghost blogger submit guest posts with back links to everywhere. But Google has changed their policy and some blogs got penalties from Google for their back links.
Several days ago, I have to remove back links in a guest post as request of a webmaster. He hired link building service submit guest posts to many sites, even unrelated sites, afterthat, his website has been moved to Google sandbox.

Guest blogging bring benefit to both of guest bloggers and blog owner. I'm not an expert that know and write everything. So I need contribution from you all. Knowledge is for sharing.
If you follow all things above, I think your post will appear in my blog soon.

A blog is a  website that contains valuable information published on the World Wide Web shared among people at large. No matter how rich the content of your blog is, a unique blog design plays a vital role in making your blog successful. The internet is filled with ready to install themes but for bloggers who want make their blog a killer, read on to find out how you can design your blog from scratch.

Preparing for the blog design

The first step towards designing a blog is to have a clear idea as to what you are looking for. This is important for you or for your blog designer to save time and money on designing your blog.

The choice of colors

As you are striving towards getting more visitors to your blog, choose colors that many people like so that they will tend to stick around for a long time and also bring in their friends to your blog.  Every color has a meaning of its own and the choice of colors can convey a lot to your visitors. Usually bright colors like red and orange grab the attention of the visitors.

Website layout

Blog designing is based upon the layout of your blog website. Earlier, blog websites had just the header and footer, main page for content and a sidebar. Nowadays blogs have two sidebars on the right and left side of the main content. You must have noted archive, subscriptions by email on the side bar.

Let us look at the importance of each of the layout components.

Header

Header is the top portion of your blog web page that your visitors first see when landing on your blog. The header is made up of the title, slogan, logo and navigation menu. Apart from these the search bar and icons to connect with social networking websites also finds a place on the header. The search functionality helps your visitors to perform a search on your blog and find relevant information.

Sidebar

You can opt to have two side bars left and right side of your main content or one of them. These side bars give you an opportunity to showcase advertisements or  add a call to action button like Buy now! Offers on e-books, prompting your visitors to click and view the ad. Today there are so many multimedia professionals who specialize in delivering Ad banner design services through the internet.
If you browse through your favorite blogs, you will find network sharing functions on the left and blog archive, search function, tags, categories towards the right on many of them.

Center web page

The center part is where your blog content appears. Design your center part in a nice way so that visitors can enjoy reading your articles. You should be able to accommodate blogger comment form that allows other bloggers to comment on the posts and display them with replies added to those comments. Also include social media buttons and links to related posts. Social media buttons enable people to share your article posts on popular social networking and bookmarking websites.

Footer

Footer is the last section of the blog page. This section is the same for almost all web pages which consists links like privacy policy, terms and conditions and contact us.

A good blogging platform compliments an attractive blog design. Blogging platform like Wordpress support theme installation and has over a thousand free templates to offer for its bloggers to instantly add a theme to their blog. Let your blog design code be flexible enough to make changes in case your blog is not able to attract visitors. Ensure that it is search engine friendly and compatible on devices like the iphone, tablet and mobile touch phones.

There are hundreds of factors that the search engines consider when creating their results pages. Web content and links have always been considered important. More recently, the use of social indicators has been highlighted by the likes of Google as a way to identify Author Authority or Author Rank. A lot of attention from social media websites means that an author is obviously well respected within their online community. Therefore, having an active and effective social media profile can help improve your search rankings as well as your social media performance.

Google’s Impact On Social Media

Google has long dreamed of being able to combine its powerful search engine listings with a variety of social results. This universal search is certainly several steps closer than ever before but it remains something of a distant dream. There are, of course, many social indicators that the search engines will use but it makes sense that Google would use data from their own social network, Google+. They have greater control over the information they can access and how they use it. Many believe Google+ already impacts on their SEO and its importance in this respect is only likely to be highlighted more in the future.

Google+

Google+ is the search engine’s first major entry into the social networking arena. They have had previous attempts but on a smaller scale and they are promising and delivering greater interaction between the social network and their search results.

Other Social Media Websites

There are many other social media websites to consider. YouTube is one of the most popular sites in the world and, if you consider it to be a search engine, then it would be the second biggest behind owners Google. It is a social media sharing website and enables those with video content to enjoy another outlet or channel for their creative work.

Examples Of Social Sites

  • Flickr and Picasa enable the sharing of photos while Scribd offers presentation sharing. As well as YouTube, users looking for video sharing sites can use Vimeo and DailyMotion.
  • Digg, StumbleUpon, and NewsVine are what are considered to be social news sites. They allow users to write or syndicate news content and share it with readers.
  • Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn are among the most popular social networks one can access. These often cross the boundaries into other forms of social media websites. Facebook, for example, is also one of the most popular video sharing sites too. • Twitter, while also considered a social network, is a microblogging platform. Tumblr and Plurk are also tagged as being microblogging platforms.
  • Location based social networks like FourSquare and Google Latitude enable users to share their location and even rate or rank the specific establishment they are in. This is a very small sample of the types of social media website that exist. There are some that are highly targeted to small groups of people and offer one very specific service. Mendeley, for example, is a researchers’ social network. Causes, which is actually a Facebook application, is the world’s largest fundraising social media application.

How Social Media Impacts Search

Social media is certainly known to help search rankings. Shares, Likes, and links from such pages are considered social indicators by the search engines and they consider websites with a lot of social indicators to have authority and respect from readers. Some users have already reported that Google+ and Google+1 results can help and has helped increase the ranking of their website.

How To Use Social Media To Your Benefit

Consider your strengths, the type of content you serve, and your target visitors and website users. If you serve video content then you should look to share video. If you want to encourage conversation about the video clips and videos that you share then you should consider Facebook as well as YouTube because this combines the features of a social network and a video sharing website. If you serve news content then NewsVine or another collaborative news website could be your best option.

Social Success

The likes of Dominos Pizza, Dell, and Starbucks are some of the big name companies that have succeeded in the social media arena. Companies are now looking at ways in which to incorporate mobile into their social media. More and more users are accessing social networks like Facebook from their mobile phone and there are many more ways in which users can interact with these sites on mobile platforms. Mobile social media marketing has become increasingly important to those looking to benefit from social traffic.

Setting Your Site Up To Benefit

A full social media marketing campaign can cost a lot of time and effort and for the small business it may not seem like a financially beneficial option. However, the rewards can be exceptional as long as your campaign takes the right form and heads in the right direction. Your website should also be set up so that it benefits your social media campaign. Whether this means offering an online app, giving users easy access to share buttons, or delivering on the promise that you make to social media users, you should ensure that your site is set up and ready to deliver conversion for your efforts. Social media is a powerful means of encouraging user engagement and it can deliver exceptional results for your website in exchange for some time or resources. Have you optimised your site for social media? Do you share content and, if so, has it helped improve your online business results? Let us know below.

If you ask a handful of people what the purpose of a blog is, chances are you'll get a few different answers.
  • For writers, a blog is a place to hone their skills and get their thoughts published easily and inexpensively.
  • For readers, a blog is a place to read others' ideas, stay up-to-date on the latest news and trends or learn about a topic that interests them.
  • For Internet marketing mavens, a blog is a means to boost a website or brand's SEO ranking.
There are millions of blogs floating around out there on the Interwebs, and each one was started for a particular reason. On the same note, there are blogs about every topic imaginable, and some are naturally more popular than others. Looking for a blog about cooking, technology or small business? You're in luck. Just type your desired topic into Google, and watch the results roll in. Even those who work in traditionally "boring" industries — such as insurance, construction or law — are jumping on the blogging bandwagon. So, how do writers in these niches garner enough readers to make their blogging efforts worth it? By implementing techniques that make their blogs and blog posts more interesting, which ultimately makes people want to read their blogs on a regular basis. If you want to draw more readers to your blog, follow these four simple tips.

1. Use photos in your posts.

It's no secret that a blog post comprised of both photos and words is a lot more enticing to readers than a blog post that appears to be a page of endless text. Use images to break up large chunks of text, add value to your post, illustrate your point and keep your blog visually appealing. Of course, the type of image you use matters. I'm a fan of stock photos, but not the cheesy ones (you know, models smiling right at the camera and holding some sort of inanimate object). Sure, it takes a little time to find good, quality stock photos, but it's well worth the effort. Also, don't shy away from using screen shots, graphs, charts and infographics in your blog posts as they make for a nice change of pace.

2. Tell your story.

The best way to be seen as an expert in your industry is to establish yourself on all fronts of your brand's web presence, and this includes your blog. An easy way to do this is to tell your story — or your company's story. Feature details about your education, credentials, humble beginnings and professional growth. Another way to establish yourself as an expert is to show who's behind your blog. Put a face with a name by including a short bio section that features all of your blog's contributing writers. I know from experience that many surety bond companies do this. Although some readers will pass right over the "Meet Our Team" page, others will appreciate the behind-the-scenes information and will realize the value in what you have to say.

3. Promote your blog via social media.

Today, engaging with your audience on a personal level is a large component of finding SEO success. An easy way to engage your readership is to incorporate social media on your blog. How? With social media buttons. Take a look at some of your favorite blogs. Chances are they'll have buttons for Twitter, Facebook and Google+ on each post. Some blogs even include buttons to email posts and share them on Digg, LinkedIn, Tumblr, WordPress, Pinterest and other social media platforms. Additionally, give readers a way to subscribe to your blog via email by providing an RSS feed or FeedBurner signup form on your homepage. Installing these features on your blog is easy and can be done with the insertion of simple code in your site's HTML. Altogether, putting social media links on your blog is a little-effort-high- result way for visitors to share your content.

4. Focus on timely, relevant and accurate content.

Nothing will cause a visitor to leave your blog faster than seeing a post from several months or even years ago at the top of your blog feed. As Internet marketing professionals, we know that Google rewards timely, accurate and original content, and these values should be translated to how you manage your blog. To keep readers interested in what you have to say, get to know your audience and publish information that pertains to who they are and what they know. To keep them coming back for more, publish content on a regular basis. Daily is best, but every other day or twice a week is also effective. Posting fewer and further between will give readers the chance to forget who you are and why they visited your blog in the first place. We live in a day and age where Internet marketing is always evolving, and blogging is no exception. There are a million things you can try to draw readers to your blog and keep them there, but these four tips are a good starting point for those looking to improve their reputation in the Blogosphere.

Many many people ask me why their blog stop working recently ,why 110mb.com down ,and ask me for js files .I repeated thoudsand times the answer . But it seem useless . So I make this post for clarifying what need to do with js file .

1,If the host 110mb.com live again ,you can open template files ,search for what files hosting in 110mb.com ,download them and than upload to your host . After that ,replace links in template files .

2,If 110mb.com downs ,you can search for file in internet ,very simple ,for example :
Search for file :jquery.js , I open GOOGLE and type 'jquery.js' in search box and press Enter , jquery.com site which provide jquery.js is the first one in search result ^^
Now you got it .

Repeat for other files , I must say that all files I used in template are popular js script in internet and it's the line in search result . So don't need to worry I hide something or have special script that don't want you to know . So what to do when you have js file ? you can buy a host ,I recommend a host that support CDN for best quality and than host your files there . Don't upload your files to services such filefactory.com ,rapidshare.com ,mediafile.com ... because they are file sharing services ,and file hosted in these host can't use directly . If you don't have enough money for a host , you can see my post here for unlimit hosting for blogger
